 December 8, 2010 - Thanks to some incredible effort from the mountain operation’s team, the Lake Louise Ski Area will be opening three more lifts this Saturday, December 11th, 2010.
Skiers and riders will get their first taste of upper mountain powder as “Top of the World”, “Summit Platter” and “Paradise Chair” will all open for the season.
Additional runs scheduled to open include Outer Limits, Boomerang, Home Run, Upper Flight, Juniper and Meadow. Depending on snowfall over the next few days, there is also the possibility of Saddleback, Sunset Terrace and Skyline runs opening as well.
“This is just the start of better things to come,” confirms Lake Louise Marketing Director John Ross. “The operation’s team has been throwing everything they have at opening up new terrain just as quickly as possible. “They’ve been moving snow fence, moving snow guns, transporting snow downwards via tarps, and grooming extensively to open up more terrain. The resort just needs one more decent snowfall and tons more terrain will open very quickly.”
With the addition of these three new lifts, Lake Louise will have 8 lifts in full operation starting Saturday. Regular lift ticket pricing will be in effect.
