Accounting Clerk - posted May 20th 2013

Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor the accounting clerk assists the accounting department with day-to-day activities.

Some of the requirements/responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Audit daily from all departments, making sure that final figures are correct, noting errors and the causes of any miscalculations.
  • Code, total, batch, enter, verify and reconcile transactions such as accounts payable and receivable, purchase orders, cheques, invoices, cheque requisitions, and expense forms
  • Performs related clerical duties, such as data entry, creating sales reports, word processing, maintaining filing and record systems, faxing and photocopying.
  • Reconcile SBLLS weekly sales
  • Prepare and issue change orders and petty cash, and floats
  • Nightly processing on FB POS system
  • Balance and reconcile daily sales
  • Processing of non cash Season Pass Sales
  • Issuing of ticket stock/ Louise card stock etc
  • Tracking of 8000 accounts
  • Research credit card charge backs
  • Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Computer literate, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel and e-mail
  • Accounting knowledge an asset
  • Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work

Reporting to the Guest Services Supervisor or Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional and efficient service to our guests regarding ticket sales and general information. There is an opportunity to continue employment for the following season if successful.

The Building Maintenance Worker will have experience in carpentry, electrical, plumbing and minor repairs.

Skoki Lodge 2nd Cook - Part Time - posted May 3rd 2013

Lake Louise is currently seeking a Part Time second cook for our backcountry lodge. Skoki Lodge is a national heritage site, situated in the beautiful high alpine region of Banff National Park, close by the Lake Louise Ski Area. The eleven-kilometer trail to the Skoki Valley makes the lodge the ideal destination for hikers and skiers of all levels. Built in 1930, the main lodge and surrounding cabins provide accommodation for 22 guests. Those staying at Skoki lodge are also treated to amazing food prepared in the main lodge.

  • This position consists of night shifts commencing at 6pm daily
  • Conducting security patrols of Lake Louise Ski Area properties

Ski Patrol Spring Clinic - posted March 29th 2013

The Snow Safety Department at The Lake Louise Ski Area is holding spring interviews and ski tests for SKI PATROL positions all levels for the 2013 - 2014 winter season.

If you are an expert skier with superior customer service skills, and have a passion for working in the beautiful mountains of Banff National Park, then email the Patrol office for an appointment. The session will include an interview and a skiing ability assessment.

Requirements for the position include:

  • Expert skiing ability
  • 80+ hour advanced first aid course certification (by October 31st, 2013)

Also recommended are:

  • Previous patrol experience
  • Canadian Avalanche Association Level 1
  • Mountaineering / backcountry travel experience
  • Knowledge of LLSA
